The Holidys......Blah!
Well not lon before Thanksgiving.....for most families this is a great chance to cook a huge meal set around the table and talk of the old days! Well not for my disfunctional family!We (before my grandparents passed this year) always went to my Mother's parents' house for this event.....my Granny Swah cooked with my mom's help the most amazing meal!
There were 4 kids, My Mom Martha, Uncle Robert (passed in 2000), the other uncle Denny and the baby Aunt Lori....as I said before we are disfunctional. Lori and Denny haven't spoke since 2000 except to yell or scream at each other.....so we hadn't had one of those meals where we all set down togehter since like 1999. Sad hugh. Well since my Grand-parents are gone I asked my mom to start a new tradition....her and my Dad are coming to Texas for Thanksgiving so we are going to My friend's apartment to grill and deep fry turkey! I think it will be fun!
Christmas is just around the corner too....I am flying home on the 23rd and coming back on the 2nd.....and OH MY Gosh at all the people I gotta see in those very few days!
